Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Kota Padangsidimpuan Tahun 2014-2023

Abstract

Economic growth is considered the main indicator of a city's progress, and understanding the factors that contribute to economic growth is essential for formulating appropriate policies to improve community welfare. This research aims to identify factors that influence economic growth in Padangsidimpuan City during the 2014-2023 period. The variables studied include the number of working people, household consumption, open unemployment rate, and number of poor people. The research results show that simultaneously the five independent variables, namely the number of working residents, household consumption, open unemployment, and the number of poor people have a significant effect on the rate of economic growth in Padangsidimpuan City. Partially, only the household consumption variable has a significant effect, while the variables of the number of employed people, open unemployment and the number of poor people do not have a significant effect. The regression equation obtained is Y = 5.109 + 1.767X2 which has a relatively strong coefficient of determination of 85.2%.
