dc.description.abstract | The main process in the predesign of this factory consists of four stages,
namely the raw material preparation stage, carbonization stage, activation stage,
and washing stage. The carbonization stage takes place in the rotary kiln at a
temperature of 500°C. The activation stage takes place inside the activation reactor
with the addition of H2SO4 as an activator. The number of kapok seeds (ceiba
petandra) needed to reach the annual production capacity is 2.516,886 kg/hour.
The planned factory location is in Rangkah Kidul Village, Sidoarjo District,
Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province with a factory area of 5.380 m2. Water needs
at this factory are supplied from the Kedunguling river as much as 5.699,249
kg/hour. The planned corporate organizational form is a Limited Liability Company
(PT) with a line organizational structure. As well as a total of 165 employees.
The results of the economic analysis on the predesign of this factory are as
