Law No.6/2014 on Villages has regulated the term of office of the village head for 6 years with a maximum of 3 periods, as well as the allocation of village funds from the APBN with 1 billion for 1 village. However, the association of village heads and village officials throughout Indonesia through Apdesi and other organizations demanded that the government and DPR RI revise Law No.6/2014 to extend the term of office of village heads to 9 years with 2 terms and increase the allocation of village funds from the APBN by 5-10 percent. So there are political dynamics on the demands for the extension of the term of office of the village head and the allocation of funds submitted by the association of village heads and village officials throughout Indonesia. This study aims to see how the background of the emergence of demands for the extension of the term of office of the village head and the allocation of village funds and the political dynamics that occur on these demands. The research uses Qualitative Research Methods with Descriptive Analysis. The results of this study indicate that the factors of these demands are, the lack of maximum village heads in leading the village with a 6-year term due to friction between the community after the pilkades and the limited use of village fund allocations for village development so that is still needs to be added. As for the political dynamics of the demands for the extension of the term of office of the village head and the allocation of village funds, namely, the village head utilizes the momentum of the 2024 election for the revision of the Village Law by supporting political parties or candidates participating in the election if they support these demands so that political interest or political transaction occur. This is why demands for the extension of the term of office of the village head and the allocation of village funds can arise and are colored by political dynamics from the central to the regional level.en_US
