dc.description.abstract | The conflict between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda has a long
history involving foreign intervention as a primary trigger. The conflicts often involve
militant groups as military tools for each country, with the struggle for control over
natural resources being a major factor. This study aims to understand the political and
military conflict journey between the DRC and Rwanda in 2021 by examining the causes
of the conflict and the actors involved. The research methodology used is descriptive
qualitative, which describes and understands phenomena in depth through secondary
data collection techniques from various sources such as books, reports, journals,
archives, and documentation. The research results indicate that the competition for
territories rich in natural resources was the main trigger for the conflict in 2021. The
involvement of militant groups like M23 further intensified the situation, with the roles of
state and non-state actors being key in the dynamics of this conflict. | en_US |
