Pengembangan Objek Wisata Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja di Desa Dolok Marawa Kecamatan Silau Kahean Kabupaten Simalungun

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still problems at the Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja tourist attraction, such as accessibility, facilities that are still damaged and inadequate, so that development is needed which is carried out well by the relevant department, namely the Simalungun Regency Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy Service. This research aims to determine and describe the development of the White Tinggi Raja Crater tourist attraction in Dolok Marawa Village, Silau Kahean District, Simalungun Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation, documentation and literature techniques. The data was analyzed qualitatively with tourism development from Mohammad Ridwan, (2012) including: attractions (attractions), amenities/facilities (public facilities), accessibility (road access). The results of this research indicate that the development of the White Crater Inggi Raja tourist attraction in Dolok Marawa Village, Silau Kahean District, Simalungun Regency has so far not been implemented well. Such as inadequate facilities and accessibility for tourists. The supporting factor for its development is that Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja has capital and good natural and cultural potential. Apart from that, in the development of the Tinggi Raja White Crater there are obstacles in the form of a lack of budget and a lack of awareness of the surrounding community regarding tourism. So the development of the White Crater High Raja tourist attraction cannot be said to be successful.
