Studi Analisis Status Mutu Air Sungai Basa Disekitar TPA Menggunakan Metode Indeks Pencemaran (IP) dan Metode Water Quality Index (WQI) (Studi Kasus: TPA Tadukan Raga Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The Tadukan Raga landfill produces leachate from waste, which is directly discharged into the river adjacent to the landfill after treatment. This can degrade the river water quality if the waste does not meet the established quality standards. This study aims to determine the river water quality index and the impact of Tadukan Raga landfill activities on the surrounding river using the Pollution Index and Water Quality Index methods, and to compare the water quality results between these two methods. The results indicate that, according to the Pollution Index method, the water quality status during the first sampling was Slightly Polluted (score 1 ≤ IP ≤ 5) and Met Quality Standards during the second sampling (score 0 ≤ IP ≤ 1). Meanwhile, according to the Water Quality Index method, the river water quality status was Clean (score 0.31 ≤ WQI ≤ 0.89) in both the first and second samplings
