Rational Emotive behavior Therapy (REBT) is a therapeutic method utilizing cognitive and behavioral approaches to understand and address emotional and behavioral issues stemming from irrational beliefs. Gadget usage intensity refers 10 the level of gadget usage influenced by individual and environmental factors. This research wsa conducted at SMP Swasta RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam using a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and non-equivalent post-test control group design. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, specifically selecting classes IX-2 and IX-3, totaling 48 respondents in the inrervention and control groups. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank and Mann-Whitney tests. The research found a significant influence of Rational Emotive Behavior therapy on gadget usage intensity, ind1ca1ed by very low p-values (0.000) for 1he intervention group and low (0.001) for the control group. This study demonstrates that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy significantly impacts behavior, feelings, and rational thinking regarding gadget usage thereby helping prevent gadget addiction among adolescent student at SMP Swasta RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam.
