The increasing mortality rate is attributed to the inability of the general public to identify cardiac arrest conditions occurring outside the hospital. High school students constitute a significant portion of the general public compared to older age groups. Therefore, it is crucial to provide health education and BLS training to high school students. This study aims to analyze the effect of basic life support (BLS) training on the knowledge and skills of students at SMA Yapim Sei Gelugur Pancur Batu. The research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest
non-equivalent group design. The sampling tech...nique used in this study is probability sampling, specifically simple random sampling. The sample consists of two groups: the
control group (36 respondents) and the intervention group (36 respondents). Data collection for knowledge is conducted using questionnaires, and skills are assessed using obsen;afion sheets. Data analysis is performed using Wilcoxon and Manni Whitney test. The results indicate a significant impact of BLS training onknowledge
and skills of the intervention group. The conclusion of this study is that there is a
significant difference in the average knowledge and skills after BLS training. It is recomended that high schools activate UKS (School Health Unit) activities to regularly refresh BLS knowledge and provide BLS training modules.
