dc.description.abstractNurse satisfaction should be a primary concern/or hospital management to ensure nurses can work effectively in patient care. Nurses are the front line of healthcare, providing 24-hour support to patients. Nurse satisfaction directly impacts patient satisfaction as recipients of health care services. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work motivation and nurse job satisfaction, and the relationship between job stress and nurse job satisfaction at Sidikalang Regional General Hosp/ta/. This research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consists of 114 respondents, and the sample is selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 89 respondents. Data analysis is conducted using the Spearman Rank test; The results show that the majority of nurses have fairly good work motivation, with 67 respondents (75.3%), the majority experience low levels of stress, with 47 respondents (52.8%), and most nurses feel satisfied, with 62 respondents (69.7%). Statistical tests indicate a significant relationship between work motivation and job satisfaction among nurses at Sidikalang Regional General Hospital, with a p-value of 0.002 and an r­ value of 0.329. There is also a significant relationship between job stress and job satisfaction among nurses, with a p-value of 0.036 and an r-value of - 0.223. Based on the study's findings, nurses work motivation is generally in the moderate category. The hospital is encouraged to implement changes that can enhance nurses' work motivation by addressing factors that influence work motivation.en_US
