Hubungan Beban Kerja dan Burnout dengan Kinerja Perawat di Ruangan Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Prof Dr Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis USU

Abstract

The demanding nature of work and tasks in hospitals makes nurses prone to physical and mental exhaustion. This condition can also negatively impact the quality of nursing care provided to patients. The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between workload and burnout with nurse performance at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis USU Hospital. This study uses an analytic survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study consists of all nurses working in the inpatient room, totaling 62 individuals, using total sampling. Data collection involved primary and secondary data analyzed using Multiple Logistic Regression with a 95% confidence level. The results indicate that workload (p=0.000) and nurse burnout (p=0.001) are related to nurse performance at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis USU Hospital. The most dominant variable related to nurse performance is burnout (OR=0.228). It is recommended that nurses work collaboratively as a team to complete tasks. This approach helps nurses perceive work less as a burden and avoid burnout, thereby improving their performance.
