| dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to describe the types of figure of speech are found in Ariana Grande's selected song lyrics and to describe the dominant type of figure of speech found in Ariana Grande's selected song lyrics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Descriptive qualitative research aims to present the definition of a figure of speech in a song. The theory used in this paper is Laurence Perrine's theory, there are ten types of figures of speech contained in Perrine's theory but only five are found in Ariana Grande's selected song lyrics. The researcher first listens to the song, understands the lyrics, and then identifies the lyrics related to the data. Then, classify the data and describe the type of figure of speech contained in the song lyrics, after that make a conclusion. | en_US |
