dc.description.abstract | Goal programming is a development of linear programming models. The goal programming method is one of the optimization techniques that can solve problems with multiple goals or objectives. In this study, this method was chosen because it can achieve various goals, such as maximizing production and profits while reducing costs, so it is suitable for use in production planning. This research aims to optimize the production planning of chips by using the goal programming method. The main objectives of this study are to maximize the amount of production, reduce production costs, and maximize profits. This research involves two main stages, namely production forecasting using the exponential smoothing method and optimization of production planning using the goal programming method. The results showed that the entire planning made has reached the optimal condition, which is evidenced by the absence of deviations in the deviation variable. In other words, the value of the deviation variable of all constraints is zero, indicating that the resulting solution is optimal. The conclusion of this study based on the company's actual sales for the last five months shows a high level of accuracy with a similarity percentage between 85%-96% compared to production planning using the goal programming method. Thus the goal programming model can be used as an effective tool in making production decisions in the company, optimizing production performance and meeting market demand appropriately. Accurate predictions help reduce the risk of over- or under-production, improve operational efficiency, and better allocate resources. The implementation of this method at UD. Keripik Cinta Mas Hendro results in optimal production planning, meeting monthly market demand, keeping production costs within target limits, and achieving sales profit targets. | en_US |
