Cattle are animals that are kept intentionally with the aim of increasing the number of animals kept through a breeding process that is supported through regular care and provision of feed. There are three types of cattle farming systems: intensive, extensive and semi-intensive. Extensive cattle farming has the advantage of lower feed costs because the herd gets its own food from nature, and less maintenance. However, one of the disadvantages of this rearing system is the less than optimal monitoring of herd mobility by farmers. This problem makes it difficult for farmers to monitor the herd of cattle, which may result in lost cows due to separation or even theft from the herd. This research was conducted to create an Internet of Things (IoT) based cattle herd mobility monitoring device and help farmers monitor cattle herds when outside the cage to be maximized. The research conducted has described the component implementation of the ESP32 microcontroller, BLE, Air503Z-BD GPS module, MPU6050 sensor, 4G communication module, Telegram bot, ThingSpeak, and web application to build a cattle herd mobility monitoring system. The results of this research show that the ESP32 device can connect the Central device and Peripheral devices using BLE beacon. Then the Air530Z-BD GPS Module is successfully used to determine the location of the hardware through the Central device. Furthermore, the cattle data sent to the web server is displayed as a data visualization in the form of the cattle coordinates and the number of cows detected, then also shown on the web application.
