This research departs from the busy use of political campaign strategies using a dialogical model or approach in the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia. The dialogical model campaign strategy was implemented by all pairs of candidates through campaign programs known as Desak Anies, Slepet Imin, Gibran Mendengar, Gelar Tikar Ganjar, and Tabrak Prof. This research aims to analyze the use of dialogical campaign strategies that have emerged and become a trend, especially in the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from primary data sources through interviews and secondary data sources through various related literature studies.
The results showed that the dialogical campaign strategy through each candidate pair's campaign program was carried out routinely during the campaign period. Apart from being aimed at obtaining electoral gains, the dialogical campaign strategy is also intended to fill the democratic vacuum in terms of campaign implementation, providing political education, and to filter the aspirations of the community. The dialogical campaign strategy that emerged and became a trend in the 2024 presidential election is related to the formation of Habermas' deliberative democracy and public space. It is also known that, despite being a trend, the use of dialogical campaign strategies tends to be less effective or fails to provide an electoral increase for candidates who use it as the main campaign strategy.
