dc.description.abstract | This research is entitled 'Comsumptive Behavior towards the Use of Korean Trend
Skincare, a case study of Sumatran High School Teenagers on Jl. BatangKuis, Tj.
Morawa A, District. Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.” The
background to this research is knowing that consumptive behavior is a behavioral
act that can influence the lifestyle of a person or group of people in various circles,
especially among young students at Sumatra High School in the district. Tanjung
Morawa, in using and spending money to buy goods excessively without
considering the level of need, especially in purchasing and using skincare trends
from South Korea. Therefore, this research aims to find out how Korean skincare
products have become a favorite choice which can influence teenagers'
consumptive behavior which influences lifestyle. This research uses qualitative
research methods with focus group discussion data collection methods, which are
carried out after field observations, interviews, documentation, and also using data
analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and
verification. The results of this research show that teenage students of Sumatra High
School in Kec. Tanjung Morawa, using skincare products has become a basic daily
necessity that they use every day. Using Korean skincare trends is the main choice
to be able to imitate and get clean, white, healthy and glowing skin, like the artists,
actors and idols they like and even watch in Korean dramas. The consumptive
behavior of using skincare trends from South Korea has a positive impact on daily
life, such as; (1) provides nutrition to facial skin, (2) cleanses facial skin, (3)
protects facial skin from exposure to bad sunlight, (4) maintains moisture and
brightness of facial skin, (5) slows down the aging process from an early age, (6)
Maintains soft facial skin thereby providing help with flawless make up.
Meanwhile, for negative impacts in daily life such as; (1) dependence on using
Korean trend skincare products, (2) unable to save pocket money, (3) facial skin
becomes immune, irritated, and experiences premature aging. | en_US |
