    Abstract
This research developed a real-time electricity consumption monitoring tool, facilitating remote monitoring and energy management through an application or online platform. The components complementing this smart energy meter include an LCD, socket, power supply, RTC DS3231, and relay, which is used to control the electrical flow based on the obtained measurements. The PZEM-004T sensor functions to measure electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy, while the ESP32 serves as the main microcontroller controlling the entire system and is connected to various sensors and other modules. The device processes data utilizing IoT (Internet of Things) for remote energy consumption control. The ESP32 uses the RTC DS3231 to add timestamp information to the measured data, ensuring accurate time-based measurements. The data collected by the ESP32 is converted and displayed on an LCD, allowing users to view the measurement results directly. The measured data is then processed and sent to an IoT server via a wireless module for further analysis and remote monitoring. The research results indicate that the PZEM-004T sensor operates well, producing values for voltage, current, power, energy, and frequency. The smart energy meter's accuracy levels compared to the standard watt meter are 99.194% for voltage, 99.088% for current, and 98.972% for power. Consistently, the PZEM- 004T sensor's accuracy values show results very close to the standard watt meter. Thus, this system is capable of measuring, monitoring, and controlling data in real-time and accurately.
