Abstract

The Tjong A Fie Museum is a historical building located on Jalan Ahmad Yani No.105, Kesawan, Medan. Which has been designated as a cultural heritage building. The aim of this research is to find out how the Tjong A Fie museum promotes via Instagram to increase tourists and develop the author's insight by applying the knowledge gained. The research method used to obtain the required data and information comes from the destination being researched by the management at the Tjong A Fie Museum. The result of this research is that the Tjong A Fie Museum introduces its tourist attraction through Instagram promotion @museutjongafiemansion with good content or interesting videos. Tjong A Fie has implemented the use of hashtags, optimized reels, and created interesting and targeted content in promoting @museumtjongafiemansion to increase visits traveler. The Tjong A Fie Museum's Instagram is also active every day in making uploads regarding the museum's opening and closing hours which makes it easier for tourists to get information about this tourist attraction. Active social media will influence tourists' interest in visiting a tourist spot because according to tourists they will get the latest information through the tourist spot's social media.
