dc.description.abstract | UD. Citra Jaya is a company in the furniture sector that produces door frames.
Door frames produced at UD. Citra Jaya is a door frame with a length of 180 cm and a width of 90 cm. UD. Citra Jaya has problems regarding delays in product delivery to consumers because there are many inefficient processes in the production process. Apart from that, solid material waste in the form of sawdust has not been managed properly, causing an impact on the environment. Based on this, it is necessary to design and analyze sustainable manufacturing improvements using the sustainable value stream mapping method which aims to identify and assess indicators of economic, environmental and social dimensions, then provide recommendations to companies to increase the value of each indicator. The research results illustrate that there are several indicators, namely the economic dimension consisting of time efficiency and defect efficiency. The environmental dimension consists of indicators of energy efficiency, material efficiency and waste efficiency. The social dimension consists of indicators of employee satisfaction level, employee health level and employee training level. Sustainable value stream mapping describes the problems that exist at several work stations, namely high defect rates and low waste efficiency, so a standard operating procedure is proposed for operators at each work station. Then, eliminate non-value added activities such as motion time, transportation time, over processing time by conducting training for each work station, and can recycle wood waste into other products as an effort to increase value added | en_US |
