Pemanfaatan Losses Energi Dingin Proses Regasifikasi LNG untuk Cold Storage Pada PT Perta Arun Gas dalam Keberlanjutan Manufaktur dari Aspek Ekonomi, Lingkungan dan Sosial
Utilization of Cold Energy Losses LNG Regasification Process for Cold Storage at PT Perta Arun Gas in Manufacturing Sustainability from Economic, Environmental and Social Aspects
Abstract
Utilization of cold energy from LNG regasification for cold storage significantly
impacts manufacturing sustainability. This study analyzes the impact of utilizing
cold energy from LNG regasification at PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) in terms of
economic, environmental, and social aspects. Results indicate that LNG
regasification produces 1,960,306.67 kWh/day, equivalent to 7,059,150 MJ/day.
With local energy costs at Rp 996.74 per kWh, daily energy cost savings amount
to Rp 3,901,222,148. Cold storage capacities of 200 tons and 500 tons save Rp
1,955,266,404 and Rp 1,945,955,744 respectively per day. LNG cold energy use
also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, with total CO₂ reduction of 336,253,680
kg and CH₄ reduction of 106,747.2 kg, equivalent to 336,360,427.2 kg CO₂e,
showing significant contribution to global warming reduction. High energy
efficiency in LNG cold energy use reduces conventional energy needs. PAG's
utilization of LNG cold energy for cold storage provides economic benefits
through energy cost savings and positive environmental contributions by reducing
greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, cold storage creates jobs, enhances local
community welfare, and stabilizes the fisheries sector. It is recommended that the
company prioritize investment in sustainable operational technologies and
practices to optimize long-term benefits and reduce environmental impact.
Strategies such as energy efficiency, adoption of environmentally friendly
technologies, and engagement with the local community are encouraged
