Pengaruh Locus of Control terhadap Pengelolaan Keuangan Mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Utara (Studi Kasus pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Vokasi)

Abstract

The rapid development of technology can have a negative impact because of unlimited human needs until financial conditions become less stable. Psychological factors in financial management can be called Locus of Control, which can be interpreted as a person's perspective on events that can be controlled or not in everyday life. Locus of Control can also occur in students because during the lecture period students tend to manage their own finances. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of internal Locus of Control on the financial management of students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. The method in this research is Quantitative method which uses numbers and statistics, the data used is primary data where the data is obtained by distributing questionnaires via google form. The contents of the questionnaire are statements about the effect of locus of control on the financial management of students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. The results in this study indicate that locus of control is internal to the financial management of students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. The significant value obtained is 0.000 2.484. The functional influence is shown by the regression equation Y = -0.917 + 0.915X + e. Locus of Control on the financial management of students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra has a significant influence.
