The preliminary plant design of phenol manufacturing plant from oil
palm empty bunches using the fast pyrolysis method with a production capacity
of 15.000 tonnes/year and operates for 330 days a year. The main process in
the preliminary plant design of phenol manufacturing plant consists of three
stages, namely the preparation stage of raw materials, the fast pyrolysis stage,
the product separation and purification stage.
The preliminary plant design of phenol manufacturing plant from oil
palm empty bunches is planned to be established in Tebing Tinggi, North
Sumatra, Indonesia with a land area of 40,050 m2, the workers needed
amounted to 180 people with a Limited Liability Company (LLC) business
entity led by a director with a line and staff organization system.
The results of the economic analysis of the preliminary plant design of
phenol manufacturing plant from oil palm empty bunches with fast pyrolysis
method are as follows:
1. Investment Capital : Rp. 1.892.030.574.754,790
2. Production costs : Rp. 3.263.666.984.054,310
3. Clean profit : Rp. 751.014.172.104,699
4. Margin Profit : 26,18%
5. Break Even Point (BEP) : 47%
6. Return on Investment (ROI) : 39,69%
7. Pay Out Time (POT) : 2,52 years
8. Return on Network (RON) : 66.16 %
9. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) : 54%
From the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that
the preliminary plant design of phenol manufacturing plant from oil palm
empty bunches with the fast pyrolysis method is worth establishing
