    Abstract
Chemotherapy treatment can give side effects in the form of oral mucositis. Treatment that can help accelerate the healing of mucositis is needed. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of drops from sand cucumber extract at concentrations of 20% and 30% with a combination of coloring ingredients from dragon fruit peel extract in accelerating the healing of post-chemotherapy oral mucositis analysed pre-clinically and histopathologically. The study was a laboratory experimental research on male Wistar rats with Post Test Only with Controlled Group Design. 36 rats were divided into 4 groups, namely, drop application group with 20% and 30% concentration, positive control with Gengigel, and negative control group without drugs. Rats were injected with 5- fluorouracil chemotherapy drug at a dose of 60 mg/kg, given 50% acetic acid on the second day and observed for 3 days until mucositis was seen. Three groups of rats were each given twice a day drops of sand cucumber extract with a concentration of 20%, 30% and Gengigel as much as 2 drops and the negative group was given no drug. Pre-clinical and histopathological observations were made for 3, 7 and 14 days. Assessment of oral mucositis healing both pre-clinical and histopathological using mucositis score from Thieme, et al. Data analysis using Kruskall-Wallis and post hoc Mann-Whitney. The results of pre-clinical and histopathological observations obtained combined drops of sand cucumber extract and red dragon fruit peel with various concentrations and positive control have better mucositis healing than negative control. Conclusion: 20% concentration of sand cucumber and red dragon fruit peel extract drops was chosen as a drug to accelerate the healing of oral mucositis in post-chemotherapy rats.
