dc.description.abstractStar fruit is a type of tropical fruit that has the prospect of being processed into profitable horticultural products. Compounds contained in star fruit such as flavonoids and phenols function as anti-bacterial compounds. Fruit juice drinks show quite high growth compared to other categories. The pre-designed factory for making juice from star fruit (Averrhoa Carambola L.) is designed with a production capacity of 15,523 tons/year and operates 330 days a year. The factory location is planned to be in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. The aim of designing a juice manufacturing plant is to apply chemical engineering knowledge which includes mass balance, energy balance, equipment specifications, chemical engineering operations, utilities and other parts of chemical engineering, as well as to meet the need for environmentally friendly alternative fuels. Total investment capital : Rp 209.598.816.152 Production cost : Rp 266.267.070.380 Sales results : Rp 338.858.520.000 Net profit : Rp 50.614.944.660 Profit margin : 21.32% Break even point : 29,42% Return on investment : 24,15% Pay out time : 4,14 tahun Return on network : 40,25% Internal rate of return : 25,81% From the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that a starfruit juice manufacturing factory is feasible to establishen_US
