Perancangan Aplikasi Talentara Berbasis Android dengan Penekanan pada Kualifikasi sebagai Penyedia Jasa

Abstract

Globalization driven by technological advances and economic developments has significantly changed the labor market landscape, resulting in a global skills gap. According to World Economic Forum (WEF) projections by 2024, more than 1.2 billion individuals worldwide still lack the skills needed for the jobs of the future, with about 20% of them working in information technology (IT). A similar situation occurs in Indonesia, where the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) predicts the need for professionals in the digital field continues to increase. The number of IT job vacancies in Indonesia increased significantly from 1.23 million in 2022 to 1.98 million in 2024, but the growth in the supply of IT workers was only 50% in the same period. On this basis, the design of an Android-based IT service finder application with an emphasis on qualifications has been carried out to facilitate project collaboration between IT freelancers and project managers, to reduce the skills gap in the IT field in Indonesia. The application will establish a central portal for IT job opportunities, increase the availability of a qualified IT workforce, ensure service quality and information security through employment agreements or contracts, and increase the accessibility and flexibility of jobs in the IT sector. The programming tools used in the development of this application are Android Studio for application development and PhpMyAdmin for database management. In designing this application, users enter the details of the work or project, then the system will match workers who meet these qualifications. Although this application has not been implemented in real terms, it is expected that this application will successfully meet the needs of users. This application is expected to have a positive impact in reducing the gap between supply and demand of IT workers, as well as supporting business growth in Indonesia.
