The production of cetyl oleate from the esterification of oleic acid and cetyl alcohol with a lipase enzyme catalyst and under a microwave irradiation has been carried out. The parameters examined in this reserch are molar ratios, catalystweight and eaction time at microwave power. Formation of cetyl oleate using an spectrophotometer FT-IR and the conversion of fatty acids to cetyl oleate wasdetermined by alkalimetric titration. The maximum conversion of cetyl oleate was 94,0 + 0,7% under reaction condisionof molar ratio of 1 : 1, reaction time of 0.5 minutes, lipase weight of 15% and microwave power of 10%. The formation of an ester group from the resulting cetyl oleate is indicated by the presense of an ester absorption band at a wave nimber of 1058.6 cm-1 which shows a C-O-C ester group with bending vibrations and with a sharp peaken_US
