This thesis aims the elucidate the role of the HKBP Church in preserving Batak cultural identity among young Christian Batak generations, with a case study of HKBP Cinta Damai Church in the Cinta Damai Parish. Employing a qualitative method involving direct field observation, in-depth interviews, literature review, and document collection, this research seeks to provide a more current and comprehensive understandiong of the role of the HKBP Cinta Damai Church in prserving Batak cultural identity and the responses from young Christian Batak generations. The research findings indicate that HKBP, as a sacred and profane religious institution, plays a significant role in preserving Batak cultural identity based on socio-historial contexts, particularly among young Christian Batak generations, amidst cultural blending and the inefficiency of cultural identity transmission by parents. The Social Construction of the role of the HKBP Cinta Damai Church fosters social practices among young Christian Batak generations iin the form of spiritual development, teaching and social relationship, receiving positive responses and interest from them. The conclusion of this research demonstrates how the HKBP Cinta Damai Church actively contributes to the preservation of Batak Cultural Identity among young Christian Batak generations by internalizing culturally objectified assets to foster cultural awarness and strengthen Batak cultural identity amidst cultural hybridity.
