Analisis Profitabilitas Strategi Trading Saham Menggunakan Indikator Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) pada Saham Perusahaan Perbankan di Indonesia
Analysis of the Profitability of Stock Trading Strategies Using the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) Indicator on Banking Stock Companies in Indonesia
Abstract
This study aims to see how the Moving Average Convergence Divergence
(MACD) indicator can represent the profits earned on banking stocks included in the
IDX30 index for the October-December 2023 period. The data used is secondary data,
namely taking past data on the prices of banking stocks included in the IDX30 index,
including BBCA, BBNI, BBRI, BMRI and ARTO. In stock trading, of course, it will be
faced with high risks, so analysis is needed to minimize the risks that will be
experienced. The analysis that is often used is technical analysis and one of the
indicators that is suitable for short-term use in technical analysis is MACD. There are
4 ways to determine buying and selling using the MACD indicator, namely MACDsignal
crossover, Histogram, MACD-Baseline Crossover, MACD-Divergence. As a
trader, you should also not only depend on the indicators used but also need to take
other steps such as cut loss or hold. These steps are taken to reduce larger losses. The
profit focused on in this study comes from capital gains. Based on the results of the
analysis using the MACD indicator, it is found that ARTO shares provide the highest
profit of 20.79%, but also provide a loss of 11.11%. While BMRI shares provide the
lowest profit of 2.97%, with a loss of 3.82%, but the loss can be handled by
implementing a hold system.
