Wind is generally any movement of air relative to the Earth's surface. An
anemometer is a device used to measure wind speed, commonly used in meteorology,
geophysics, or weather forecasting stations. This designed instrument aims to produce
a measurement of wind speed and transmit the data via NodeMCU ESP8266 to the
Blynk application using the Internet of Things (IoT) system. The wind striking the cups
of the cup anemometer, which is integrated with an optocoupler sensor, will rotate and
generate an analog voltage output. This output will be converted into digital data and
displayed on a 16x2 LCD. The results of this study indicate that the design can be
viewed in real-time by users. This implementation is expected to be useful for everyone
who uses it.
