dc.description.abstract | This study aims to aye the fluence of watching TikTok content @buiramira on
the knowledge and motivation to compete final projects among Communication
Science students at UIN Sumatera Utara. This research employs a quantitative
approach with a correlational method. The theories used in this study include the
viewing theory by examining the intensity of watching, the knowledge theory by
assesing knowledge levels, and the motivaton theory by evaluating the extent of
students drive after consuming @buiramira’s TikTok content. The population of this
study consist of Communication Science students at UIN Sumatera Utara in
semesters 6-8, Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling wih specific
Sample criteria and acccidental sampling. The instrument used in this studyy was
questioneire distributed to 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using single table
analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, correlation tests, correlation coefficients,
determination coefficient tesis, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate a
significant influence of watching @buiramiraa’s TikTok content on the knowledge of
completing final projects among Communication Science students at UIN Sumatera
Utara, with a magnitude of 32%, a correlation value of 0,570 indicating strong and
postive relationship close to 1, and a significance value of Sig = 0.000 < 0.005, thus
accepting hypothesis Ha1 (0,000 < 0.05). The results also show a significant
Influence of watching @buiramiraa’s TikTok content on the motivation to complete
final projects among these studens, with a magnetude of 36%, a correlation value of
0,601 indicating a strong and positive relationship close to 1, and a significance
value of Sig = 0.000 < 0.005, thus accepting hyportesis Ha2 (0.000 < 0,05)
Furthermore, the study finds a combined influence of watching @buiramiraa’s TikTok content
on both knowledge and motivation to complete final projects among the
students, with a magnitude of 51%, a correlation value of 0,716 indicating strong
and positive relationship close to 1, and a significance value of Sig = 0,000 < 0,005,
thus accepting hypothesis Ha3 (0.000 < 0.05). | en_US |
