    Abstract
Water is essential for human life, as all activities carried out by humans in various aspects of life are closely related to the need for water, especially clean water. However, field observations show that there are still many complaints from various segments of society receiving clean water services from PDAM Tirta Sari. These complaints include very low water flow rates and occasional disruptions, often caused by leak repairs in the pipes. Therefore, an evaluation of the clean water distribution network system at PDAM Tirta Sari in Binjai City is needed to assess the current condition of the system and find solutions to these problems. Hence, this study aims to determine the pressure, velocity, and head loss in the clean water distribution network in Binjai City This research is a quantitative descriptive study conducted during the even semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The study focuses on the clean water distribution network system at PDAM Tirta Sari in Binjai City. The research process involves identifying the problem, conducting literature reviews, formulating hypotheses, collecting data through direct observation and interviews (primary data), and gathering supporting data from relevant institutions (secondary data). Data analysis is performed using modeling software such as EPANET 2.2. The data analysis results indicate that the condition of the clean water distribution network during peak hours at 07:00 is suboptimal. Additionally, the values for the pressure and headloss parameters exceed the specified criteria, while the velocity falls below the criteria set for PVC pipe type. This suggests that the condition of the clean water distribution network at PDAM Tirta Sari in Binjai City in 2023 does not meet the criteria outlined in the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Housing of the Republic of Indonesia No. 27/PRT/M 2016 regarding pressure, velocity, and headloss parameters. Therefore, to meet the criteria of the Minister of Public Works and Housing of the Republic of Indonesia No.27/PRT/M 2016 on the parameters of pressure, velocity and headloss, improvements can be made by reducing the head and flow of the pump to reduce the pressure at each junction, minimizing the pipe diameter and each junction, reducing pipe diameter to increase velocity, and reducing headloss at all pipe
