Faktor – Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Kejadian Kecelakaan Kerja pada Pekerja Bagian Pengolahan di PKS Pagar Merbau PTPN I Tahun 2024

Abstract

Occupational health and safety contains the value of labor protection from work accidents and occupational diseases. Work accidents are defined as an unexpected and unexpected event that causes losses, both material and suffering for those who experience it. Work accidents can occur in various types of work, one of which occurs in the process of the processing section at the PKS. Workers in the processing section at PKS are very likely to experience work accidents, including: falling, burning, getting splashed with oil, tripping, slipping, being hit by palm thorns, which can cause disability and even death. Work accidents that occur are caused by human factors, environmental conditions, and management, which require effective preventive measures. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of work accidents on processing section at PKS Pagar Merbau PTPN I in 2024. Data were analyzed using a cross sectional approach. The population was 60 workers in the processing section of the Pagar Merbau PKS. The sample was a total of 60 workers. Primary data collection was carried out by interview using a questionnaire and observation, and the data was processed with the Spearman Rank test. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between human factors (age, length of service, K3 knowledge, use of PPE, unsafe actions) with a P value <0.05 and there is a relationship between management factors (K3 supervision) with the incidence of work accidents, with a P value <0.05 in the processing section at PKS Pagar Merbau PTPN I. For workers, it is recommended to increase their knowledge of K3 by attending counseling and training and obeying and using PPE when working, for companies to increase supervision.
