Penentuan Rute Distribusi Produk Obat pada PT Mutiara Mukti Farma dengan Metode Savings Matrix dan Nearest Neighbor

Abstract

Distribution is a product distribution strategy used by manufacturers to deliver their products to consumers so that consumers can receive the products quickly, accurately, and in good condition. PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma is a company engaged in the production and distribution of over-the-counter medicines located in the Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency. PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma has 29 customers as distribution destinations for products located within and outside the Medan metropolitan area, which are then divided into 10 distribution routes. Out of the 10 routes used, there are several customers with close distances that are placed in different routes, so an evaluation of the current routes is needed. The general objective of this final project research is to find the most optimal product distribution route at PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma using the Savings Matrix and Nearest Neighbor methods. The research results show that the distribution route created using the Savings Matrix and Nearest Neighbor methods can reduce travel distance by up to 178 km or 16% and reduce fuel costs by 16% or Rp. 402.300 per distribution
