dc.description.abstractPT. Aroma Mega Sari is a company engaged in the production of rice flour. The issue faced by the factory is the significant amount of damage to the Filter Press machine, resulting in suboptimal output. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Filter Press machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, then identify the root causes of machine damage and provide improvements using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The results of the calculation of the effectiveness of the Filter Press machine during the period from July 2023 to February 2024 show an average availability value of 84.55%, a performance efficiency of 5.36%, and a rate of quality product of 96.42%, resulting in an OEE value of 46.73%, which means improvements are necessary as it is still below standard. Based on the calculation of the six big losses, the biggest influence is reduced speed losses at 36.075%, which frequently causes damage and affects the effectiveness of the Filter Press machine. Based on the cause and effect diagram, the causes of reduced speed losses include machine factors, human factors, methods, and environmental factors. The FMEA analysis results show the frequency of Filter Press machine damage with an RPN value of 336, caused by spare parts not meeting specifications, leading to machine damage and halting the production process. The corrective actions that need to be taken are that the factory should perform preventive machine maintenance and ensure that the components or spare parts used meet specifications and have longer durabilityen_US
