Usulan Perbaikan Produk Speaker dengan Metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
Proposed Speaker Product Improvement Using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) Method
Abstract
The need for electronic devices is crucial for many people. Every household already uses electronic devices in various forms and functions. In their usage, product designs do not always fully meet customer needs. Therefore, problems arise in electronic device usage, especially damage, one of which is in speaker products, which are electronic devices that function to convert electrical vibrations into sound vibrations. Some problems include frequent damage to the handle and speaker body as well as excessive bolts that prolong the assembly process. Therefore, improvements to the speaker product design are needed using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) methods to create product design improvements that meet consumer needs. The aim of this research is to identify the priority of technical characteristics and critical parts of the product using QFD Phase I and II and to identify the comparison between the actual design and the proposed design of the speaker product after improvement using the DFMA method. The speaker product improvement is done using snap-fit, which is an integral joining of parts to connect components. Based on the comparison between the actual design and the proposed design, the results obtained include a reduction in assembly time of 100.79 seconds, a decrease in the number of component units by 4, an increase in assembly efficiency by 0.65%, and a cost saving of Rp. 403,805 for assembly
