Analisis Proses Rekrutmen Anggota Komisi Independen Pemilihan Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang Tahun 2023

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of recruitment process of Aceh Tamiang Regency Independent Election Commission (KIP) members in 2023. There has been a deadlock in the recruitment process of members of KIP Aceh Tamiang due to conflicts of interest between the Chairman of the Aceh Tamiang Regency House of Representatives (DPRK) and Commission I of the Aceh Tamiang Regency House of Representatives. The objective of this study is to analyze the recruitment process for members of the independent commission for Aceh Tamiang regency election in 2023 resulting deadlock and to find out the reasons for the deadlock in the process. This study uses Rush and Althoff's political recruitment theory (1997) and the concept of Political Power. Primary data is obtained through in-depth interviews with research informants and DPRK Aceh Tamiang archives, secondary data is taken from books, previous research, and other instruments supporting the study. The research results show that aspects of control and demands are less optimal because the recruitment of KIP Aceh Tamiang members in 2023 has greater political interests and power, causing deadlocks in the process. It is recommended that there be standard regulations for assessment in the recruitment ofAceh Tamiang KIP members so that the assessment is conducted based on objectivity, the need to strengthen regulations through revision of the Aceh Qanun concerning Election and Election organizers in Aceh to prevent deadlocks due to political interests and power in its implementation recruitment ofKIP Aceh Tamiang members.
