Soil plays a very important role in construction, namely the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, dams and other structures. Clay soil is soil with microconic to sub-microconic sizes which originates from the weathering of the chemical elements that make up rocks. Clay soil is one of the soils that have poor properties, this type of soil has low bearing capacity, large expansion and shrinkage properties. thus causing large changes in volume due to the influence of water and causing the soil to expand and contract in a relatively fast period of time. This characteristic is the reason it is necessary to carry out a stabilization process so that this characteristic is improved so that it can increase the carrying capacity of the soil. This research will discuss the effect of adding egg shell powder and gypsum as a stabilization material by testing the Califonia Bearing Ratio (CBR) and Unconfined compression test (UCT). The addition of stabilizing materials used was varying levels of egg shell powder and 3% gypsum. From this research it was obtained that the original soil sample had a water content of 33.88%, specific gravity 2.60, liquid limit (LL) 45.94%, plastic limit (PL) 18.00% and plasticity index (IP) 27.93%. The original land classification according to the USCS includes categories Clay - Low Plasticity (CL) and according to AASHTO is in category A-7-6 (11). Laboratory CBR values are not submerged (unsoaked) for original land of 4.94%. Mark Unconfined Compression Test (UCT) of native soil is 1.40 gr/cm2. The maximum value of each variant is when adding 14% egg shell powder and 3% gypsum of 16.1% for the CBR value and 2.34 kg/cm2 for the Free Compressive Strength Test value with a curing period of 14 daysen_US
