dc.description.abstractAggressive behavior often occurs in middle adolescence aged l 5- l 8 years. The increase in aggressive behavior is reflected in the number of cases of brawls between students which are disturbing the community. The impact of brawls results in trauma and fatalities. One of the factors that influences aggressive behavior in adolescents is parenting which is divided into three types, namely authoritarian parenting, democratic parenting and permission parenting. The aim of this research is lo analyze the relationship between parenting patterns and aggressive behavior of adolescents at the Private Senior High School of Angkasa l Lanud Soewondo. The research design is quantitative descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this research is 59 teenagers who are selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument consists of a demographic data questionnaire, a parenting style questionnaire and an aggressive behavior questionnaire. Data analysis uses the chi-square statistical test, The results show that of the 59 teenagers, 28 teenagers receive dominant authoritarian parenting style (47.5%), 26 teenagers receive dominant democratic parenting pattern (44.1%). and 5 teenagers receive dominant permissive parenting pattern (8.5%). Chi-square statistical test obtains p-value = 0.003 < a = 0.05. This result indicate that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and aggressive behavior of adolescent students at the Private Senior High School of Angkasa I Lanud Soewondo. This means that 32 teenagers have high categorized-aggressive behavior (54.2%). This research recommends that parents and counseling teachers establish good and open communication with teenagers so that they are aware of teenagers problems and are able to provide solutions for teenagers so they are not invorced in brawls. motorbike gangs, bullying, and sexual harassment.en_US
