dc.description.abstractThe learning process at Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing differ from that of other faculties. The busy lecture schedule from morning until noon consisting of lectures in classroom, laboratory practicum (Non-Skills !.Ab), skiffs practicum (Skills Lab), tutorial, and assignment put the students at high risk of suffering from psychological disorders. It is therefore necessary to perform mental health early detection to improve students' mental well-being. The objective of this research is to reveal mental health description of the students at Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing, using descriptive quantitative research design. The research uses stratified random sampling technique to take a sample size of 217 students. The instrument used to collect the data is BQSPS (Brief Self-Report Questionnaire for Screening Putative Pre-Psychotic States). The research findings show that mean score from Faculty of Medicine is 44.47 and that of from Faculty of Nursing is 44.85, with a margin of 0.38, describing that the students• mental health falls into healthy mental range. It is suggested that every faculty in the institution socialize the available counseling room. in order to optiomize students' mental health. It is also recommended that future researchers develop researches regarding mental health so that students • mental health can be optimized.en_US
