Diabetes mellitus in the elderly can significantly impact their quality of life due to complications that affect the blood vessels in the heart, brain, kidneys, and eyes. This study aims to assess the quality of life of elderly individuals with Type II Diabetes Mellitus in the Medan Johor Health Center area. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method. The questionnare used include demographic data and a quality of life assessment. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling, with a total of 40 respondents. The result indicate that the elderly respondents tend to experience physical pain infrequently, with 45% reporting rare occurrences and 42.5% occasional occurrences. This study found that all respondents (100%) had a good quality of life despite suffering from Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Based on these findings, it is recommended that community nurses provide professional care to the elderly, particularly in primary health care facicilites, by optimizing elderly health posts and chronic disease management programs.en_US
