dc.description.abstractThis research discusses the maintenance system of crude palm oil production machines at the PT Sawita Inter Perkasa palm oil mill. In producing crude oil, the company uses a corrective maintenance system that repairs the machine if damage occurs first. However, this method is not optimal because it takes a long time to repair, losses in high maintenance costs and production will decrease. Therefore, another method is needed to optimize the maintenance system. In this research, a preventive maintenance system is carried out. The method used in this research is the Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis method to determine critical components on the machine and the Reliability Centered Maintenance method to determine preventive task policies on machine components. Obtained critical components on the screw press machine as a machine with the greatest frequency of damage are worm screw and presscage components with a preventive maintenance policy of 5, 1 scheduled discard task, namely on broken worm screw components with a maintenance time interval of 26, 74 days, 4 scheduled restoration tasks, namely on sompel and curved worm screw components with a maintenance time interval of 26, 73 days, broken and worn presscage components with a maintenance time interval of 21.51 days and perforated presscage components with a maintenance time interval of 21.51 days once. The results of the application of preventive maintenance with the RCM method are obtained maintenance cost savings of Rp 28,231,973,984en_US
