Broad Coffee and Roastery is a cafe that produces coffee beans. This research was
carried out on a machine that produces roasted coffee beans. The maintenance
policy implemented at this time is corrective maintenance where repairs are only
carried out when the machine is damaged, this results in sudden machine damage
and causes machine reliability to decrease accompanied by large machine
downtime, causing losses in terms of time and costs, because hampered the
production process. The aim of this research is to provide suggestions for
scheduling machine maintenance by implementing preventive maintenance on
roasting machines using the Reliability Centered Maintenance and Failure Mode
Effect and Criticality Analysis methods with the expected output being to prevent
machine damage so that machine reliability is maintained and lower repair costs.
optimal based on the maintenance interval obtained. The critical component of
the roasting machine is the barrel with preventive maintenance is scheduled
discard task for damaged/perforated barrel components with a maintenance
interval of once every 13,21 days and scheduled restoration task, namely the
barrel component does not rotate with a maintenance interval of once every 13,72
days. Implementing preventive maintenance using the RCM method results in
optimal maintenance costs of Rp 58.780.864 by comparing the cost of losses
caused by damage to the machine of Rp 83.750.000, resulting in a difference of Rp
