UD. Udin Mebel is a company engaged in woodworking. The production
scheduling system in the company uses the First Come First Served method, where customer orders that come in first are processed first. However, this method is still
not optimal because there are still frequent delays in meeting customer demands.
With the current method being implemented, the company still faces challenges in
meeting orders within the established time limits. Therefore, scheduling using another method is needed. In this study, scheduling of door and window leaves was
conducted using the simulated annealing method with the criterion of minimizing makespan. With the proposed simulated annealing method, it is expected that the total processing time for all jobs (makespan) will be shorter. The research results
show that scheduling with the company's current method resulted in a makespan of
8,90 hours with the job sequence A-B-C-D-E, while scheduling using the simulated
annealing method resulted in a makespan of 8,20 hours with the job sequence B-AC-
D-E. The performance of the simulated annealing method, as seen from the efficiency index parameter of 1.08, indicates that the simulated annealing method performs better, and with a relative error of 8,53%, it shows that the proposed
simulated annealing method achieves a makespan saving of 8,53%
