Body mass index (BMI) is a measure indicating an individual's nutritional status. It can affect the regularity of menstrual cycles. This Research explores the correlation of BM/ and menstrual cycles of female students at SMA Namira Islamic School Medan. This is a quantitative Research with a descriptive correlational design that treats the BM/ as the independent variable, while the menstrual cycle sentences as the dependent variable. Tlte Research involves all 97 female s111de11ts at SMA Namira Islamic School Medan, with a sample of 79 students selected using proportional stratified random sampling. n,e Research finds a significant proportion of students with normal BM/ (45.6%) and normal menstrual cycles (53.2%). However, some students show abnormal BM/, including those categorized as , weight and obese. The Spearman correlation test indicating a p-value of
0.001 {a=0.05), demonstrates a significant correlation of BMT and menstrual cycle. This Research recommends educating students abo111 their abnormal nutritional status and for further research to analyze the factors that affect the nutritional status of female students.
