    Abstract
Solar energy is a highly promising renewable energy source for development in Indonesia, given its strategic geographic location near the equator. This research aims to design, construct, and analyze the placement of solar panels in highland and lowland areas using Internet of Things (IoT)-based data transmission. The study utilizes the INA219 sensor to measure voltage and current generated by the solar panels, with the ESP8266 microcontroller for real-time data processing and internet-based data transmission. The research is conducted in two distinct locations, highland and lowland areas, to compare the efficiency and performance of solar panels in these environments. Voltage and current data collected are automatically sent and stored on a server via Wi-Fi, allowing for convenient access and analysis anytime. Results indicate variations in solar panel performance between highland and lowland areas influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, sunlight intensity, and humidity. Through this IoT-based monitoring system, it is anticipated to provide effective and efficient solutions for optimizing solar energy utilization under diverse environmental conditions, while offering deeper insights into the factors affecting solar panel performance across different locations.
