dc.description.abstract | Attendance systems are an integral part of effective presence management in modern workplaces. In an effort to enhance the efficiency and security of the attendance process, this research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based attendance system using ESP32 and fingerprint sensors. The primary objective of this study is to design a system that utilizes fingerprint sensor technology for accurate and efficient identification.
During the design phase, ESP32 was selected as the primary platform due to its capability to integrate fingerprint sensors and communicate wirelessly via WiFi networks. The fingerprint sensor is used to capture and verify fingerprints, while the ESP32 is responsible for processing data and sending information to the IFTTT server, Telegram application, and Spreadsheet for real-time attendance monitoring.
The research methodology includes stages of system requirements analysis, hardware and software design, as well as integration testing among ESP32, fingerprint sensors, and IoT services. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to improving the accuracy and reliability of attendance systems, while also reducing operational costs associated with attendance management. | en_US |
