Abstract
This research is entitled "Classification of Basic Emotions in the Main Character Ne Zha in the Movie Ne Zha (哪吒) by Jiao Zi (饺子): A Literary Psychology Study". The purpose of this study is to describe the causes of the main character's emotions and the classification of basic emotions in the main character in the movie Ne Zha. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The theory used is David Krech's emotion classification theory with the approach of literary psychology and literary sociology. The data used in this research are lingual units, words, clauses, phrases and sentences that provide an overview of the presentation of the main character's basic emotions in the Ne Zha movie. The data collection method in this research uses the techniques of free listening and note taking. The results of this study show that social stigma is the most dominant cause in influencing Ne Zha's emotions. This stigma reflects rejection, discrimination and exclusion from society, which significantly contributes to Ne Zha's emotional state. From the analysis of 25 basic emotion data, it was found that happy and angry emotions were the most dominant. Happy emotions emerged when Ne Zha felt a moment of acceptance or success, while angry emotions emerged in response to rejection and mistreatment. The dominance of these two emotions reflects Ne Zha's diverse emotional changes, influenced by the interaction between internal and external factors.
