Gambaran Karakteristik, Dukungan Keluarga, dan Kecemasan Lansia di Desa Klambir V Kampung Kecamatan Hamparan Perak

Abstract

Old age is the last stage of development which undergoes physiological and psychological changes. One of the psychological problems which is often undergone by the elderly is anxiety. Anxiety is an emotion which causes discomfort indicated by worry and restlessness. The objective of there search is to identify the characteristics, family support, and anxiety in the elderly at Klambir V Kampung Village, Hamparan Perak Sub-district. The population is all 342 elderly people who are above 60 years old. and 184 of them are used as the samples, taken by using purposive sampling technique. The result of there search shows that 165 respondents (89.7%) are 60-74 years old, 133respondent (72.3%} are females, JOO respondents (54.3%) are elementary school graduates 90respondents (48.9%) do not have any chronic disease, 128 respondent (69.6%)get family support, and 129 respondents (70.1%) get the lowest level of anxiety. it is recommended that routine health examination Should be done and the sustainable education be provided in order to decrease anxiety in the elderly by focusing on the increase in family support.
