| dc.description.abstract | Unhealthy food consumption among school children is on the rise due to various factors. As a result, it is essential to understand the affecting factors. This Research investigates the factors that contribute to an increase of unhealthy food consumption among school-age children at SDN in Titi Rantai Urban Village. The Research focuses on three primary areas: food trends, parental control, and peer influence. This quantitative descriptive Research includes a sample of 86 school- age children. Data are collected through questionnaires and processed using univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution of each variable. The Research finds that food trends have the most significant impact on the rising consumption of unhealthy food among school-age children, with 58 (67.4%) respondents affected. Parental control plays a significant role, albeit at a lower level, with 17 (19.8%) respondents reporting poor parental control. Additionally, peer influence is another critical factor, with 54 (62.6%) respondents frequently consuming unhealthy food due to peer pressure. In conclusion, food trends and peer influence are the primary factors driving the rising consumption of unhealthy food among school-age children at SDN in Titi Rantai Urban Village. | en_US |
