dc.description.abstractThe Batak Toba wedding ceremony is a cultural event that combines traditional rituals and customs, strengthening family and community bonds. It celebrates love and tradition, reflecting the deep values and lasting spirit of the Batak Toba people. The wedding includes stages like Marhusip, Martuppol, Martonggo Raja, Manjalo Pasu-Pasu Parbangason, Ulaon Unjuk or Marunjuk, and entering the reception hall. Attending a Batak Toba wedding helps people appreciate the rich cultural heritage and the importance of family and community bonds. It is a unique experience that celebrates love, unity, and community values. Important symbols in Batak weddings include the Ulos, a traditional cloth symbolizing love, success, and protection; the Sipanganon, a headpiece worn by the bride representing elegance, purity, and maturity; and the dowry, a gift from the groom's family to the bride's family showing respect and commitment in building a new home.en_US
