    Abstract
    An automatic roof control device based on Arduino Uno has been designed which aims to increase efficiency and practicality in managing house roofs. This tool utilizes a YL-69 soil moisture sensor and an Arduino Uno microcontroller to regulate the roof opening and closing mechanism. This research uses a comparative method which includes testing the accuracy and effectiveness of sensors as well as validating measurement results via the 1602 I2C LCD screen. The research results show that the YL-69 sensor is able to measure humidity levels with good accuracy, with an average value of 7.6% between the actual value and the sensor value. In addition, the sensor effectively detects changes in humidity and operates the roof opening mechanism at certain humidity levels. At humidity levels <300, the sensor detects the need to open the roof automatically to prevent excess moisture inside the house. On the other hand, if you get a value <300 and the value data is displayed on the LCD 1602+I2C, the roof will be closed to keep the house dry and maintain stability from rainfall. The conclusion of this research shows that the system developed can increase the efficiency of roof management and occupant comfort and can help farmers from high rainfall or excessive rain so that farmers do not experience crop failure. It is hoped that the implementation of this system will have a positive impact on the quality of life and become a solution that can be adopted more widely.
